Product Development Manager for Jobsite.co.uk

I In 2008 I sold my online showreel hosting business ‘Snip Reels’ to the Daily Mail Group who I continue working with today as a Product Development Manager (Mobile & innovation) for the Jobsite Group.

Although Working full-time I used my evenings and weekends to setup the first online music download comparison site CompareDownload.com. CompareDownload quickly gained national press coverage and was voted by The Times as the 3rd best music website in the UK, it was also recently featured on the Gadget Show on Channel 5.

Unfortunately due to lack of funding and the continuing issue of illegal downloads, CompareDownload had no option but to shutdown in October 2011.

Whether negative or positive I see my experiences as a learning curve, the online industry is highly competitive and I now more than ever appreciate how difficult it is to build a successful and profitable online business. Mobile brings with it a unique opportunity to engage with users on a whole new level and I am excited by the opportunities it holds. .
